Tap Dancing

Our Tap Dancing Group has been meeting since 2013 and members are now experienced tappers! The group has the two objectives of having fun and keeping fit, but Broadway will have to wait!

The group meets each Tuesday at Starkholmes Village Hall, between 1.30pm and 2.30pm with the exception of the third Tuesday in the month. The cost per session is £2.00. No refreshments are provided, due to the time available.

If you are interested in joining the group, please contact the coordinator, Gwynneth Beck, on 01629 822238 or by e-mail.

It doesn’t matter if you have never tapped before or if your tap skills are a bit rusty – we all started at the same level with the aim of learning a new skill, whilst having fun!

Did you know? In the USA, by vote of Congress in 1879, May 25 is marked as National Tap Dance Day. May 25 was the birthdate of Bill “Bojangles” Robinson.
