Our Tap Dancing Group has been meeting since 2013 and members are now experienced tappers! The group has the two objectives of having fun and keeping fit, but Broadway will have to wait! Gwynneth Beck is retiring, but Nicola Scott has agreed to take over. However note that we have had to change the venue and time.
The group now meets each Tuesday at the Duke William pub in Starkholmes, at 2.00pm. The cost per session is approximately £3.00 (we need to cover £15 per session between us).
If you are interested in joining the group, please contact the new coordinator, Nicola Scott, on 07977 182690 or by e-mail.
It doesn’t matter if you have never tapped before or if your tap skills are a bit rusty – we all started at the same level with the aim of learning a new skill, whilst having fun!
Did you know? In the USA, by vote of Congress in 1879, May 25 is marked as National Tap Dance Day. May 25 was the birthdate of Bill “Bojangles” Robinson. |
