The Sign Language Group of the Matlock Area U3A has been created to enable members to brush up their signing skills or, for complete beginners, to learn to use sign language from scratch. If you are interested in learning sign language you may find this leaflet from Action on Hearing Loss helpful
The aim is to learn in a fun way. The group size is limited by the venue and also because signing is best learned on a one to one basis within a small group.
We (Sign Language 1) meet on Monday afternoons between 2.00pm and 4.00pm and meetings are held in the coordinator’s home.
Due to the increasing interest in this skill, we have started a second group (Sign Language 2) meeting on Wednesday afternoons between 2.00pm and 4.00pm.
The groups’ coordinator is Pam Wildgoose, who can be contacted by e-mail or by telephone on 01629 583752.
