French Conversation Group 2 is now in its fifth year and welcomes all who wish to improve their spoken French. Anyone with a basic understanding of the language should be able to participate. A very varied programme of topics including quizzes, role plays, text translation, subject discussion are covered all with the aim of furthering conversation and vocabulary. Occasionally aspects of grammar are revised and conversational phrases studied.
The aim is to enable members to increase their confidence in the spoken language with glimpses of the French way of life. All members are encouraged to contribute topics and ideas to make the sessions broad, interesting and fun.
The group meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 2.00pm until 3.30pm at All Saints Church Hall on Smedley Street, Matlock. There is a small charge to cover hire of the room and tea and biscuits, payable on the day.
The Group Coordinator is Lesley Shawe who can be contacted by email, or by telephone on 07818 025568.
