Derwent Dawdlers

The Derwent Dawdlers is a group for walkers who, for whatever reason, are
no longer able to tackle a longer ramble but still want to get out to appreciate
the countryside.
The walks will be about 2 to 2.5 miles long and are planned to avoid steep
gradients and tricky stiles. Because of the geography of our region, this may
mean that the walk is not circular and we will retrace our steps at the halfway
point. Alternatively, we will travel further afield to find more level ground.
The pace, as the name implies, will be slow to give us plenty of opportunity to
admire the views and to appreciate the finer details of nature!
The walks will be fortnightly on a Tuesday. Once a month we may travel for
up to 40 minutes to the start of the walk. The other walk will be local.
Usually, the walks will start at 10:30 from a car park that has a café or a picnic
area. We will walk for about an hour, have a coffee break and then head back
for lunchtime.
