See our webpage for more information on our first visit

Life Story group

A new group has recently been set up to help Matlock u3a members to write their own life story.

Everyone has different reasons for wanting to write their life story, and the group plans to learn from each other and benefit from each others’ ideas and input.

The group currently meets on the first Wednesday morning each month although the next meeting is on 17th January 2024.

If you are interested in joining the group or would like more information please contact David Gray at lifestory@matlockareau3a.org.uk

  Shorter walks group

Our walks are on the 3rd Wednesday and the 2nd Saturday each month. The walks, between 3-5 miles, are not too challenging and are led by volunteers from within the group if interested please contact the co-ordinator Debbie Davis at shortwalks@matlockareau3a.org.uk

Highlighting interesting features.

 Photo Gallery

This Photo Gallery is showing various towers and memorials of interest around Derbyshire – in case you want to guess them first, the titles will be revealed when you hover your mouse cursor each photo. (I have to confess that I must have walked past Paxton’s conservatory chimney many times and never noticed it before!)
Many thanks to our previous Happy Snapper for passing on 6 of the photos before she left Matlock.

I’m hoping a few more spring flowers will appear soon, to appear in the next Gallery.

ICE Cards

An ICE (“In Case of Emergency”) card holds the contact details of the people you wish to be contacted in an emergency. It also ensures that healthcare professionals are made aware of any medical conditions or allergies you may have, and  any medications that you take.

We have credit-card sized cards available, if you would like one to carry with you – please contact Liz Walker via chair@matlockareau3a.org.uk ,or your group leader, if you would like one.
