The purpose of the group is primarily to enable those with an interest in gardening to share their knowledge and experience with other like-minded amateur gardening enthusiasts, and to learn from them.

During the summer months the Gardening Group enjoys outdoor visits either of members' gardens, local NGS Open Gardens or village Open Garden events. We also venture further afield to see RHS and National Trust gardens and garden shows.

During the 2017 Winter, the group are planning to continue getting out and about, rather than using St Elphins.

The groups' coordinator is Liz Walker, who can be contacted by email by clicking on her name, or by telephone on 01629 733654 or 0774 8917232

No Meeting

Monday, 5 February

Talk by Jeff Bates, who was so informative last year.

This year we thought we would open it to all the MAU3A membership by hiring a larger venue. Jeff is a well known horticulturist, with a long career in lecturing and landscape design as well as a judge for the last 25 years for East Midlands in Bloom. The theme will be 'Seasonal Gardening' - what to do in your garden now. There will also be a Q&A session –so bring along your gardening questions.

Meet at the Small Hall, Imperial rooms at 2pm. There is a charge of £3 including refreshments - open to all.

Please note that any MAU3A Member who has not joined the Gardening Group, but would like to come along to a meeting must first contact the coordinator.
